 About Our Work

The volunteer-led Refugee Resettlement Coalition (RRC) of Lane County and Catholic Community Services’ Refugee and Immigrant Services Program (RISP) began collaborating in 2016, establishing a unique network of support for refugees and immigrants settling in our community. This team walks alongside our new neighbors with compassion and diligence, connecting them with housing options, immigration legal services, employment, healthcare, English classes, education, social services and more. As weary travelers from Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Yemen and Syria arrive in Lane County, often with little more than the clothes on their backs, our partnership helps them integrate into U.S. society as seamlessly and holistically as possible.

Welcoming Our New Neighbors is our major annual fundraiser to support RISP’s crucial work. On November 16th, we’ll gather at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church to share international food, drinks, inspiring stories, and more!

Please partner with us by sponsoring this essential fundraising effort.
